During a discussion with Wyn I learnt that I was one of the first clients who saw the real value of Critical Illness Insurance. Along with Life Insurance and Income Protection, Critical Illness Cover is the kind of protection you hope you will never need to claim on, and if you don’t claim then it becomes easy to complain about the money wasted!

However, little did I realise how important all three forms of protection would be for me. I was diagnosed with a critical illness in 2011 and was a recipient of the benefits within a short time of putting in the claim.

A cheque for over £150,000 was promptly paid providing additional security for me and my family during a very difficult time. Along with this, a monthly income of over £1,000 is a great help because of an income protection policy that was still in force.

Protection is without doubt the foundation of any financial planning arrangement. I am glad also, that on top of the firm foundation I have both a healthy private pension arrangement and a tax sheltered portfolio of investments that Wyn and Tracy continue to provide advice to me on.

Never let anyone persuade you that having advice from a trusted adviser is a waste of time or a waste of money.
